Years ago, after I had my first child, I was surprised at the limited options in kids clothing. Most kids shirts bore slogans and pictures that didn't appeal to me. At the same time I found there was an excess of parenting books telling us how to teach our kids to behave, to calm down and get along. And while I know there are definitly times when the kiddos need some guidance, my personal experience has been that it is really the kids who teach us. What we all need to do is stop talking and listen. And so babies R people was born. From my need to see shirts for kids that really rocked, and the need to remind myself and others to listen to the kids, to respect the kids. They are people too.

All shirts are 100% cotton long-sleeved tees made in North America by American Apparel. They are baby-rib cotton, which means soft and cozy. They are all pre-shrunk and hand-painted.
Colours & Sizes
Shirts come in black (with white writing) or white (with black writing).
Sizes are 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 2 years and 4 years.
Longsleeved nightgowns with elastic bottom are available in 0-3 months white only.
All shirts have the phrase on the back 'babies R people' (sizes 0-12 months) or 'children R people' (sizes 2-4 years).
Pricing
All shirts are $17.
Shipping
Out of town shipping is $5 flat. If you live in Victoria you can pick your shirt up directly to save shipping costs.
