Years ago, after I had my first child, I was surprised at the limited options in kids clothing. Most kids shirts bore slogans and pictures that didn't appeal to me. At the same time I found there was an excess of parenting books telling us how to teach our kids to behave, to calm down and get along. And while I know there are definitly times when the kiddos need some guidance, my personal experience has been that it is really the kids who teach us. What we all need to do is stop talking and listen. And so babies R people was born. From my need to see shirts for kids that really rocked, and the need to remind myself and others to listen to the kids, to respect the kids. They are people too.
